We make a difference in the lives of children during a very traumatic time in their life. Bringing them up and meeting their medical and educational needs.

Nairobi Mission

The Cottolengo Communities of Nairobi is located in the Karen area, on Langata Road in front of the “Karen Hospital”. It is a Catholic moral body administered by the “Kenya Cottolengo Society”; was officially erected on August 15, 1990 to welcome the members in formation of the sisters, brothers and priests, thus facilitating them to follow the training courses offered by the local church and as a reference point for cottolenghini arriving from the innermost areas of the Mission or from the ‘Italy.
Faced with the spread of HIV + / AIDS which had determined a state of emergency throughout the nation due to the increase of orphaned children, the Cottolenghina family, in 1994, responded with the “Cottolengo Center”, a specialized structure for orphans suffering from HIV + / AIDS.

Our services

Currently the “Cottolengo Communities” includes:

Regional House and Seminary of priests

Territorial Delegation, Novitiate, Community of service of the sisters

Service structure of the “Cottolengo Centre” specialized for orphans affected by HIV + / AIDS

Volunteering

Volunteers are a great resource, a gift that we always welcome with joy and gratitude, there are many possibilities of service especially in the reality of the Cottolengo Centre.

The presence of the volunteer can be well enhanced to follow the daily activities of the children.
